Welcome!

The Society of Daughters of Holland Dames was founded in May 1895 to perpetuate the memory and promote the principles and virtues of the Dutch ancestors of its Members.

What's New?

Events planned for Five Dutch days have been added to our Activities page. RSVP information is available, too.

A Certificate of Merit has been presented to Charles Th. Gehring, Director of the New Netherland Project in Albany, to Dorothy Koenig, Editor of "New Netherland Connections,"and to Andrew A. Hendricks, M.D., Chairman of the New Netherland Museum and the Half Moon Visitor Center. All three recipients meet the Holland Dames' objectives "for outstanding contributions to perpetuate the memory of and to promote the principles and virtues of the Dutch colonists who settled New Netherland." How fortunate we are to benefit from the expertise and wealth of knowledge of each recipient! (To learn more, visit the New Netherland Project, New Netherland Connections, and the New Netherland Museum and Half Moon Center.)
